The Bridge Mentorship Programme, which brought together mentees and mentors from around the world, made a powerful contribution to the Music4Change project’s main objectives — enhancing the quality of doctoral education in music through innovative and interdisciplinary teaching and learning, while contributing to sustainable development by emphasizing the role of music and the arts.

Mentorship Hub

I enjoyed every minute with my mentee because our chats were inspiring and mind-opening.

Rewarding experience. Felt appreciated while contributing meaningfully.

Helping mentee recognize strengths highlighted my own abilities.

Helped me rethink my own attitudes and explore art in new ways.

It felt like my mentor was just a few years ahead of where I want to be — inspiring and motivating me.

We had some deep conversations about the broader aspects of life and career… exactly what I needed at that point.

Having someone to talk to outside of the usual academic or professional structures was incredibly valuable. It gave me a sense of support and understanding that complemented, rather than replicated, my existing networks.

Being around highly motivated colleagues was mostly inspirational.

This programme connected me with an inspiring network, matched me perfectly with my mentor, and even helped me land a job — an experience that truly changed the course of my life.

I achieved the goal of preparing a strategic plan for opening an organisation… something that seemed far away now feels feasible.

This programme should be an example for a more effective education model.
